Plan Details

Telangana, a busy state, has several fast-growing cities, like Hyderabad, Warangal, and Karimnagar. With a high number of IT parks, industrial zones and expanding suburbs, the number of bikes, cars, autorickshaws, and commercial vehicles has increased. Traffic is high at all times, and diversions are regularly put in place to avoid gridlocks. This situation calls for an efficient management system to support the vehicle owners.

RTOs in Telangana handle key vehicle-related services, including registrations for new cars and renewals for registered cars. The offices also accept road tax payments and handle the transfer of ownership at the sale of vehicles. New drivers can apply for a learner's permit and for a permanent one after six months. These RTO services ensure all cars on the road are safe and are following state rules, making daily travel smooth.

Through rigorous enforcement of traffic rules and regulations, the RTO office Telangana keeps the roads safe and organised. By ensuring only fit vehicles and trained drivers are on the road. They are making sure accidents are being prevented and pollution is under control.

Telangana RTO Functions and Roles

Vehicle Registration

The RTO offices in Telangana register all new two, three and four-wheelers. One can also apply for renewals and transfer of ownership along with temporary registrations.

Driving Licences

Your RTO office will issue a learner's permit to learn to drive. Post this, you can apply for a permanent driver's license for private and commercial cars.

Vehicle Permits

Commercial motor vehicle owners can apply for different driving permits and licenses at RTOs, such as driving interstate or permits for specific routes.

Among the various RTO charges in Telangana, you can also pay your road tax. Private cars pay once during new registration, and commercial cars pay annually.

Fitness Certificate for Vehicles

RTOs perform fitness checks and issue fitness certificates on vehicles to ensure they are safe. If a car fails the test, the issues must be fixed and the car re-applied.

Pollution Under Control Certificate (PUC)

Cars in India must have a PUC certificate, which is issued by the RTO. All registrations and renewals are done only when the PUC is up-to-date and valid.

Need for Motor Insurance

All vehicle owners in Telangana and India are mandated by law to have motor insurance under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. It is compulsory to at least have a third-party insurance to get your registration and license. RTOs across Telangana regularly perform checks on vehicles to make sure they have motor insurance. Driving with one can lead to heavy fines, penalties, and imprisonment.

This is especially important in cities like Hyderabad, which witnesses heavy traffic during rush hour. Imagine being stuck in slow traffic, and another car rear-ends your bumper. Even a small incident like this can lead to heavy repair bills and leave a dent in your budget. With good motor insurance, you can get cashless repairs done at a network garage.

Apart from accidents, road conditions in many parts of Telangana can make driving tough, especially during the monsoon. Hidden potholes fill up with water, which can seriously damage your car. With IndusInd General Insurance's car insurance, you're covered for these unexpected damages. You can also choose add-ons like roadside assistance for extra support, submit videos for claims and avoid long wait times.
