IndusInd General Insurance Company (IGICL), a IndusInd International Holding Ltd subsidiary, has won the contract to provide health insurance in Meghalaya under the Megha Health Insurance Scheme (MHIS) and Ayushman Bharat-PMJAY Phase 6 after submitting the most competitive bid.
The revamped MHIS 6, now integrated with PMJAY, offers Rs 5,30,000 coverage to over 7 lakh families on a family floater basis. The scheme covers hospitalisation, outpatient care, diagnostics and follow-up treatments.
IGICL will process claims through its network of empanelled healthcare providers across the state and plans to implement digital solutions for enrollment, claim settlement and grievance redressal.
CEO Rakesh Jain noted that this initiative will improve healthcare access while raising insurance awareness and strengthening IGICL's presence in Northeast India.
