Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Can I take Hero Splendor for uphill riding?

No, the Hero Splendor is not an ideal choice for uphill riding since it comes with a 97.2 cc engine. The engine lacks the necessary power and performance required for uphill riding. For a smooth uphill riding experience, bikes with powerful engines are a good choice.

Can I file for reimbursement if I do not have the original bike repair bills?

When filing a reimbursement claim under a bike insurance plan, policyholders must submit the original repair bills and invoices. This is important for insurance providers to verify the repair cost and decide the compensation amount. Without original bills, claim requests can be rejected.

Can I change my bike insurance coverage at the time of renewal?

Yes, you can change your bike insurance coverage at the time of renewal. This gives you the flexibility to upgrade from a third-party plan to a comprehensive one, or even downgrade if you only want basic liability cover. You can also add or remove optional covers like roadside assistance, zero depreciation or helmet protection based on your needs.

Is a police FIR report mandatory at the time of a stolen bike insurance claim?

Yes, a police FIR is mandatory when you file a stolen bike insurance claim. Since theft is a criminal offence, insurers require a copy of the FIR as proof that the incident has been reported to the police.
